Riffs. Rhythm. Rattle.
Brooklyn-based Metagirl & the Earth Passengers is an original rock collective that's been making noise in NYC since 2016. Their hook-driven sound blends blues, jazz, funk, punk, and ska into driving rock songs with fiery guitars and vocals described as "strong, expressive and versatile."
Obscure Sound calls their sound "energized" and "personality-full." Of their recent single "I Don't Care," Foxfire Magazine said: "It makes us feel things that make us want to move instead of staying still." And on new single "Fire It Up," The Indie Grid called it a track that "refuses to surrender to cynicism."
Think Buzzcocks meet The Specials, with touches of REM and Kim Deal in the mix.
